Manual contents

Before memorising a list of terms, locate each word on a boat. Bow and stern orient the map; hull, deck and cockpit organise spaces; spars and lines add functions. Illustrations introduce a few elements at a time and explain the viewpoint. You can then recognise the words in a plan, photograph or model record. This manual connects vocabulary with exploring sailboats without assuming prior knowledge. The drawings are educational: visual identification does not verify technical condition or replace learning aboard.
